How long do I have to wait for an appointment?
Our goal is to see all new patients within 48 hours from the first contact, as we understand the urgency of receiving help when you need it. We usually don’t seek refuge from the storm until we’re actually experiencing the rain, thunder, and lightning. Appointments always fill up quickly but we will do our best to work you in as soon as possible.
Do you accept my insurance?
Our policy requires full payment for your appointment upfront. If applicable, you may file with your insurance so that reimbursement is sent directly to you. You must call the office before your appointment to make your payment and advise of any changes in your address, insurance, etc.
Do you take Medicare?
Dr. Jenkins does not participate in Medicare. If you are 65 or older, we need a signed Medicare Opt-Out Agreement.
Practice History
Christopher L. Jenkins, M.D.
is Board Certified by the Board of Physicians and Surgeons as a Diplomat of Psychiatry and a member of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry. He opened his private practice in Mobile, AL over 20 years ago, after years practicing in Richmond, VA. Studying under some of the most renowned psychiatrists and physicians in the country, he obtained his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in 1989. He proceeded to become Medical Director at the state hospital among other roles. His family moved to Mobile in 1998 and soon thereafter he opened his solo practice.
Dr. Jenkins’ dedication to treatment solutions for drug dependence/addiction is paramount. With his primary concern being the overall wellness of his patients, Dr. Jenkins integrates ethics, integrity and a true desire to support long-term recovery. With his knowledge of psychopharmacology, he has assisted thousands of patients on their path to a more fulfilling life.
He is also licensed to practice medicine in Florida & California.
